Big Black Hospitalized For Days Prior To His Death
The sudden death of Christopher “Big Black” Boykin came as a shock to many of us who had watched the massive man on MTV over the years. Sadly, it was much less of a shock to his ex-wife and 9-year-old daughter Isis.
According to TMZ (and Boykin’s ex-wife Shannon Turley), Black had been in the hospital for days in desperate need of a heart transplant.
Doctors had been monitoring his ticker and feared that there would be recourse outside of surgery. Unfortunately, Black wasn’t on the hospital’s transplant list.
The hospital staff tried to resuscitate Chris for 30 minutes, but to no avail. He passed at 4 pm in Plano, Texas.
