Kim Kardashian Addresses "Blackface" Scandal
Remember last week when the
internet went up in flames over Kim Kardashian's advertisement for her new beauty line where she
looked suspiciously less lily white and more like a sunkissed woman of color?

Well, Kim tells the
New York Times that the whole "blackface" drama was a big misunderstanding. Basically, she had a tan at the time and someone OD'd on the photoshop a bit...and Kim ended up looking like a light skinned black girl, in some folks' eyes...
"I would obviously never want to offend anyone. I used an amazing photographer and a team of people. I was really tan when we shot the images, and it might be that the contrast was off. But I showed the image to many people, to many in the business. No one brought that to our attention. No one mentioned it."
We're assuming none of these folks in the biz were people of color...but we could totally be wrong. Either way, Kimmy said that she heard the outrage loud and clear and respects the opinions of those who took offense and made sure to make adjustments to the photos.
"Of course, I have the utmost respect for why people might feel the way they did. But we made the necessary changes to that photo and the rest of the photos. We saw the problem, and we adapted and changed right away. Definitely, I have learned from it."
Hmmm. What do you think? Was Kimmy subconsciously trying to swipe Black womens' flavor (as usual)...or is this just a fuss over nothing?
Hit the flip for her "corrected" pics...
