“Shots Fired” Canceled
A new TV show full of black talent has unfortunately gotten the axe. Reggie Rock Bythewood and Gina Prince-Bythewood’s “Shots Fired” has been canceled by FOX after only one season.
According to TV Series Finale, the show that starred Sanna Lathan, Tristan Wilds and Stephan James, had “poor” ratings averaging a 0.89 rating in the 18-49 demo and 3.56 million viewers despite it being Fox’s seventh most-watched scripted series for the 2016-2017 season.
Gina Prince-Bythewood has since confirmed that the show’s upcoming finale will close out the entire series.
Along with “Shots Fired”, FOX has announced the cancellation of Morris Chestnut’s “Rosewood” after two seasons.
