2017 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival Photos
During the final week of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, concertgoers went from getting their NOLA bounce on, to nostalgic moments with a music legend. The final leg of the nearly 50-year festival brought out acts ranging from Trombone Shorty to New Orleans bounce superstar Big Freedia whose set included acrobatic twerking from a denim-clad dance troupe, and audience members hand-picked from the crowd to join the Queen Diva on stage. Saturday's headliner Stevie Wonder, who had a two-hour set, spoke freely on politics and Donald Trump who he deemed "No. 45." After encouraging the President to "unite the nation", Stevie shut down rumors that he's getting married for a third time telling the crowd that he'd "let them know" if he was. He also DJed and played tribute sets to legends we lost including Prince and Earth Wind and Fire's Maurice White. Megan Trainor also brought her pop superstardom to the stage... while Uncle Snoop's set was "Beautiful." There's even a viral video from Snoop's performance of a sign language interpreter going ALL the way off. https://twitter.com/6PAPl/status/862141354075467776 Hey Corrine Bailey Rae!Have you ever been to Jazz Fest???
