Roy Oliver Had Department Troubles Before He Shot Jordan Edwards
Surprise, surprise.
Roy Oliver, the trigger happy white cop who opened fired on a car of unarmed teens and killing Jordan Edwards has a shady past. The former Balch Springs Officer was suspended once before due to “aggressive” behavior.
Reports from The Root say it was discovered that the prosecutor’s office had once filed a complaint over Roy Oliver’s aggressive behavior. Oliver was once suspended for 16 hours in December 2013 after the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office filed a complaint about his behavior while he was serving as a witness in a drunken-driving case. Oliver was also ordered to take training courses in anger management and courtroom demeanor and testimony.
During the trail of the reported case, Oliver acted “angry” and use obscenities when giving testimony. The judge on the trial reportedly had to send a female intern out of the room while he reprimanded him.
SMH, with all of that said, why did he still have a job? He clearly doesn’t give a FAWK about his obligation to “protect and serve”.
Oh yea, Oliver is still free after evidence was found of him lying on the police report from the night he shot Jordan Edwards.
