Terrence Howard’s Wife Gives Birth
Terrence Howard is the proud new dad of a baby boy. The “Empire” star and his wife Mira welcomed a son, Qirin Love, on Monday.
Terrence Howard’s empire has a new little heir! The actor and his wife, Mira, have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, he revealed to Access Hollywood on Monday, June 15.
Mira gave birth to their son about four weeks ago, he shared.They named him Qirin Love, a nod to a mythical creature called the qilin from Chinese culture.
“He’s beautiful and strong and a whirlwind and my wife is so happy,” the Empire star told Access Hollywood. “She has to be up with him all throughout the day.” Joking, he added, “I wasn’t born with boobs, I’ve started growing some recently.”
To balance out the parenting responsibilities, Howard handles Qirin’s p.m. needs. “I pull night duty, so that she can sleep,” he explained. “I keep him with me and will take some of the pre-pumped, you know, breast cheese, whatever you want to call it.”
The Red Tails star and his wife first announced her pregnancy back in December, at a New Year’s Eve party in Orange County, Calif. A source told Us at the time that Mira “glowed with joy” during the big reveal.
Qirin is Howard’s fourth child; he’s also dad to daughters Aubrey and Heaven and son Hunter, from his marriage to Lori McCommas, which ended in 2007. He and his second wife, Michelle Ghent, had no children together.
