Kanye Says Rob Kardashian Foretold Kim’s Black Daughter
Some things are clearly just meant to be. During his BET Honors acceptance speech, Kanye discussed how the Kardashian clan always caught grief for associating with Black people, and Rob Kardashian Sr. once told a young confused Kim that if and when she had Black children of her own, she’d understand on a much larger scale. Via InTouch Weekly:
On Saturday, Jan. 25, Kanye West took home the Visionary Award at this year’s BET Honor Awards, which are slated to air on BET on Feb. 23.
In a single speech, the 37-year-old managed to respond to rumors that his wife, Kim Kardashian, is a gold digger, diss her exes (hey, Ray J) and make a powerful message about racism, his daughter, North and his late father-in-law, Robert Kardashian.
He also shared a story about how his late father-in-law, Robert Kardashian, who he never had the chance to meet, supposedly foretold his daughter, Kim, of her future with racism.
Kanye explained, “It takes me back to a story that she told me where her father Robert Kardashian walked out, and on the side of his Bentley, they wrote, ‘n—a lover’ because Robert Kardashian was the genius that put together the defense team that got OJ off.
“She had never seen her father curse or get mad. He was the most laid-back human being. And he went crazy and tried to chase the people down. And she’s sitting there crying and was like, ‘Dad, why you going so crazy?’ He said to her, ‘One day, you may have a black child…a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful black child…and it’s gonna be hard. You’re gonna see how hard it is.’
“So true enough, we deal with racism because there are different races. Or the micro of it is that we focus on the different races as opposed to the macro, which is the human race.”
So Rob always knew that Kim would deal with being called an “n-word lover” for all her days. At least she’s finally trying to get a grasp on race matters for the sake of her swirly seed.
